Born out of a global health emergency, BioCard™ is a world-first diagnostic platform delivering lab-quality results in under 3 minutes, with no need for lab infrastructure or external equipment. Unlike out dated lateral flow tests that offer only basic results, BioCard™ provides quantified, highly accurate data with up to 100% sensitivity and 99.5% specificity, confirmed by blinded MHRA NIBSC validation panels and wider panels used for CE and UKCA registrations.
Originally developed in response to COVID-19, BioCard™ quickly set a new standard: faster than lateral flow, with “results on a par or better than CLIA or ELISA based systems” (UKHPA), and deployable at scale in any environment including human, veterinary, or agricultural. Its performance rivals centralised laboratory infrastructures without the cost, offering critical insight into immunity levels, exposure status, and disease prevention, all in real time.
This same platform now powers the HSV-2 BioCard™, a rapid, CDC-recommended solution that resolves equivocal serology results from automated systems with unmatched accuracy in any location.
